Plovdiv sits in the middle of southern Bulgaria. Bachkovo is close. The Rose Valley, Rila and the Rhodopes are all day trips. The Black Sea needs an early start, which is why we also offer it as a two-day programme with a night in Pomorie.
For a foreign operator this geography matters. Groups can stay two or three nights in one hotel and still see a different region each day, which keeps the luggage on the coach and the guests in a better mood.
The old town itself is a tour, not only a bedroom. Many programmes start with the Roman theatre on the afternoon of arrival.
